A co-owner of the TAIF Group, a large regional holding with assets in the republic of Tatarstan, the second son of Mintimer Shaymiyev, a former long-standing president of the Republic. The TAIF Group, which includes oil refineries, chemical plants, power stations and development companies is of strategic importance for the republic. It became known in 2006 that Radik is a co-owner of the company NIRA-Export, which exported oil and oil products from Tatarstan and later received shares of the TAIF Group.
He is number 81 on the Russian Forbes 2021 list.
