Daughter of a Russian Security Council member exits company ownership following StateWatch investigation
Share article

On January 28, 2026, changes were registered in the ownership structure of the British company 31 Eaton Place Limited. The firm, which manages real estate, is now solely owned by Amin Lakhani, a Singaporean representative of an influential business dynasty, who co-founded the company with Maria in 2013.

Maria Komarova resides in London, where she also developed the designer clothing brand Milo Maria, which has previously been worn by globally recognised celebrities.

Despite her father, Igor Komarov, being under sanctions imposed by multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, since 2022, his daughter had continued to operate several business ventures in the UK without interruption.

In addition to 31 Eaton Place Limited and the Milo Maria brand, Maria Komarova was also linked to Mardim LTD and Run-a-Way.Online.Store Limited, both of which had been dissolved earlier.

Although European jurisdictions still remain a space of opportunity for the Russian elite, exposure and public scrutiny of such cases can disrupt even well-established systems.
