A new modification of Iranian drones, which Russia has begun launching in large numbers, has started appearing in frontline areas. This UAV is the Shahed-107. Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence published its detailed internal components on the War & Sanctions portal. They also showed what the drone’s structure looks like — the same type already documented, including over the Sumy region. As expected, components from the US and the EU continue to feed into Russia’s lethal weaponry.

Shahed-107: what is known

Iran publicly presented this drone for the first time only in June this year amid the escalation of its own conflict with Israel. The Shahed-107 is built as a high-wing aircraft with a three-meter wingspan and a characteristic X-shaped tail assembly that provides flight stability. The airframe is made of carbon fiber, the load-bearing elements of aluminum, and the examined unit carried a 15-kg cumulative high-explosive fragmentation warhead — structurally identical to those used in other Iranian Shaheds.

The drone is equipped with a Chinese-made DLE 111 two-stroke gasoline engine. Ukraine’s intelligence has already encountered similar small engines in Russian UAVs such as the “Gerbera,” “BM-35,” “Parodiya,” and “Delta” — meaning Russia is consistently building its drone fleet using imported civilian-market models that are easy to purchase. The Shahed-107 has an operational range of about 300 km and a 28-liter fuel tank.

Flight is controlled by a flight controller that operates the elevon servos and engine. The Shahed-107’s electronics are typical of Iranian and Russian strike UAVs. The drone is filled with microchips, receivers, and sensors originating from:
