The War & Sanctions portal has published about 250 companies from three holdings of the Russian state arms production corporation Rostec. Identification of Russian defense companies is an important step towards exposing the shadow mechanisms of the Russian military-industrial complex.

The War & Sanctions portal is a unique online database containing data on individuals and companies that support Russia’s military aggression but are not yet under international sanctions. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasizes that the database is a digital weapon that exposes what Russia and its allies are trying to hide.

The portal presents the detailed structure, activities and enterprises of the three key holdings:

• NPO Vysokotochnye Komplexy JSC is one of the most dangerous holdings responsible for the development of high-precision offensive weapons (Iskander-M, Pantsir-S missile systems, Kornet ATGM, armored vehicles, robotic platforms, etc.) 55 enterprises have been identified.
• United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) is an aircraft manufacturing holding company that provides Russia with military aircraft (Su, MiG, Tu-160, IL) and civilian aircraft such as the Superjet 100. 109 enterprises have been identified.
• United Engine Building Corporation (UEC) is a non-alternative source of engines for aviation, fleet, space, and energy.  80 enterprises have been identified, a number of which directly serve the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex.

The Trap Aggressor project of the StateWatch think tank has been exposing Russian companies’ ties to Rostec in its investigations for a long time, in particular, using the YC World tool from YouControl, which is a reliable tool for identifying Russian companies.
