In the third year of the full-scale war, Russians associated with the production of weapons for the Russian army continue to own real estate and businesses in the EU, the US, and the UK. Due to the limited resources of the relevant authorities, the sanctions policy against Russia cannot cover all groups of people associated with the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country. Also, many of them have not been sanctioned to date. 

Trap Aggressor media project of StateWatch think tank analyzed and created a map of Russian assets in the EU to show foreign networks and assets of people working for the Russian military-industrial complex in order to impose sanctions on these individuals in the future and increase the likelihood of freezing such assets.

The journalists found companies and real estate in the EU that belong to a number of influential Russians:

• Igor Ashurbeyli, an ideologist of Russian air defence system;
• Oleg Demchenko, UAVs developer of the Yakovlev Experimental Design Bureau;
• Vladimir Yevtushenkov, co-owner of Sistema JSFC;
• Vadim Badekha, head of the United Engine Corporation and former CEO of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant.
