US imposes sanctions against Russia, including Trap Aggressor defendants

The companies that were featured in the Trap Aggressor materials were subject to sanctions restrictions. In particular, the Russian company Armalit, which is one of the largest manufacturers of shipbuilding fittings. Ptero was also sanctioned. It is a Russian developer and operator of unmanned aerial systems that designs, manufactures, and operates unmanned aerial vehicles.

This time, the sanctions list also includes dozens of companies from different countries. In particular, from China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and the UAE, which imported microelectronics and components important for aviation to Russia, and Russian companies that acted as importing counterparties. The sanctions also targeted five newly appointed deputy ministers of defense, Russian companies that repair military equipment and produce technologies needed for the military-industrial complex, and organizations associated with military cooperation between Russia and Belarus.

The sanctions did not spared the company that transported equipment for the Russian Arctic LNG 2 project. The list also includes a network of shipping companies from the UAE and Singapore involved in the purchase of ships for the transportation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Novatek. Three subsidiaries of Rosatom were also included in the sanctions lists. According to the agency, they are involved in the development of digital technologies and software.
