
Western components still end up in Russia. This happens through gray import schemes, front companies, third countries, or a combination of these methods.
According to the British organization Conflict Armament Research, in 2022, components in the Shaheds were produced by more than 70 companies from 13 countries were identified. In 2023, their geography narrowed to 7 countries, but in 2024, it expanded again to 10. Although the share of American components decreased from 82% in 2022 to 57% in 2024, it is still significant.
The largest share of the found parts was produced by Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, CTS Corporation (USA), STMicroelectronics, U-Blox (Switzerland), NXP Semiconductors (Netherlands), and Mornsun (China).
